UNIT 371 - Top Secret 1930s Imperial Japanese - Bio Warfare Unit

In the 1930s the Imperial Japanese Ministry of Defense formed a covert biological warfare research & development unit, UNIT 371. They performed experiments on humans, animals, and machines in hopes of perfecting a gigantic creature-like war machine, an "IMPERIAL WAR BEAST".

Just before World War 2 the Imperial Japanese government constructed a secret research facility deep in the jungle, of an uncharted island.

 

Their plan was to create a weapon—a monster—like Godzilla. They figured that since man was the most advanced and dangerous of all creatures, they would try to create a monster with a more humanoid form. The logic behind it was strong.
 

The plan was to work incrementally and gradually towards a Godzilla-sized giant. The goal for the initial phase was to create several humanoids, both male and female, that were around 10 to 12 feet tall and experiment on them in regards to managing, controlling and perfecting them at this smaller size before moving to the next phase where the monsters created would be more in the 20 to 30 foot range and much more difficult to work with.
 

During this early phase of the experiment, Hiroshima was bombed and the war was coming to a quick end for the Japanese. As they had sworn to do, the scientists all committed hari-cari rather than suffer the shame of defeat, but not before destroying all the monsters created so far...or did they..
